A roof inspection is usually required prior to quoting or implementing any work. The following checks are done:
- Roof tiles: check for broken, cracked, chipped or slipped tiles.
- Roof appearance: check for dirt, grime, lichen, moss.
- Tile pointing: check for damage such as cracked pointing and loose or broken pointing.
- Roof flashing: check for cracks, breaks, gaps or loose flashing.
- Barge boards: check gables and roof edges for damaged barge boards.
- Gutters: check gutters (including valley gutters) for damage and blockage.
